3/16 at 10 am PST - Forward, Together: Addressing Anti-Asian Hate and Systemic Racism

In cities across the United States, hate crimes and racially-motivated attacks against Asians have seen significant increases, even as broader hate crimes dropped by 7% over the same period in 2020.1

In a recent NY Times opinion article, Jay Caspian King wrote, “these attacks have been aimed at anyone who looks Asian, transcending across language, country-of-origin, and class lines that usually separate one group of Asians from another… For better or worse, a collective identity can emerge from these moments. Amid the outcry, a new form of Asian-Americanness has begun to stand up.”

We invite you to join us, to educate yourself on not just the anti-Asian rhetoric and attacks happening now, but to learn about the broader foundations of systemic racism that extend across marginalized populations and communities - and consider the actions, big and small, that are in your capacity to raise awareness and move from allyship beyond advocacy, and into action.
